I am running Encryption Desktop 10.2.1 on OSX 10.7.5.  As far as I know all I am doing is whole disk encryption, and when I boot the bootguard asks me for my passphrase, and I give it and the machine boots and my applications start successfully.  But within a day or 2, another small window pops up asking for me to enter the passphrase for the "key" shown above - and it is my user name.  I attempt to enter the passphrase I used at boot, but the "ok" button is greyed out.  I try my previous passphrase and the "ok" button is still greyed out.

What is this "key" passphrase being requested?  Can I just hit cancel?  I seem able to run whatever I need to, open whatever I need to.

Bootguard asks the passphrase for unlocking the hard drive (HDD) and allows the Operating System (OS) start the machine.

The second passphrase asked inside the OS is probably the passphrase needed to unlock the private portion of the PGP key which you may have in the keyring (this is the key that can be used for signing email messages, for instance).

You may also want to upgrade PGP Desktop.  Per http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH174563 , the recommended version for OS X 10.7.5 is PGP Desktop 10.3.0.

It does seem like the program is asking for your key passphrase, which is usually cached when you log on.  My best guess is that the cached credentials expire at that time, so it prompts you to enter them again.  The fact that the 'OK' button is greyed out sounds more like a GUI error to me.  It should not be greyed out after you begin typing the passphrase.  Can you enter the passphrase and hit 'Enter'?
