    Hi,

I’ve few queries about IIS and Apache in SPE 12.1

Currently we have SEPM server with IIS installed in 11.0.6 MP3 version. Now I’ll upgrade the server from 11.0.6 MP3 to 12.1 servers. Now my questions are below

    1. I need to uninstall the IIS in SEPM server; because I read that SEP 12.1 will use Apache instead of IIS.
    2. If yes, what is the procedure to install the Apache in existing SEPM server during migration
    3. In test lab I’ve upgrade the SEPM 11.06 MP3 to 12.1 successfully without any issues. Am able to generate reports and login through remote SEP console.
    4. If I use IIS in SEP 12.1 is any issues will occur?

It should switch over automatically to Apache, no IIS uninstall needed.

Yes, login will be the same and you can generate reports. All clients can be managed by SEPM 12.1

    Should be no issues.

    1. You don't need to uninstall the IIS before you upgrade the SEPM 11 into SEPM 12.1.

    2. You don't need additional procedure.

    4. It's recommanded to use Apache in SEPM 12.1. Use IIS in SEP 12.1 is not officially supported.

It is installed by SEPM, if Apache is not installed, SEPM won't start.
