Hi, I  use symantec backup 12.5, and every 6 months, I should really be putting a copy of these backups in the safe.

Is there a way do this easily?

thanks

The answer would be run a duplicate job to copy the data from the backup set(s)  on your first device to your second device. You also may have to create a one-off 6 monthly backup job (in a policy) so that you can setup the original and duplicate jobs so that BE does not try to duplicate all of the backups

Officially Backup Exec did not support detaching USB hard disks until Backup Exec 2010 R2 was released, there are forum posters who got detaching USB disks prior to 2010 R2 to work who might be able to advise.

I have never done this before and am self taught.
