IDR Failure using SBS2003 with Integrated SP1
Updated: 22 May 2010 | 2 comments
The issue happens after the IDR process formats the hard drive. The blue screen states:
The following value in the .SIF file used by setup is corrupted or missing:
Value 0 on the line in section
with key "sp1.cab."
I already know why this issue occurs when the IDR disk is created using an installation disk that has SP1 integrated.
So my question is, when will Symantec/Veritas release a hotfix/update that will fix this problem so customers who have purchased Backup Exec 10d can restore using IDR when the only installation CD they have is one with SP1 integrated?

A quick update, I have just contacted Microsoft to see whether I can get a hold of a SBS2003 Installation disk without SP1 integrated and they say even they can't supply me with this. Please don't force customers with only an SBS2003 installation disk with SP1 integrated to proceed through a manual restoration.
Hello Michael,
Unfortunately there is not yet a patch released to eliminate this problem.
Please lodge the request at http://enhancement.veritas.com
