  • 1.  IE hangs or slow with Symantec Vulnerability Protection enable

    We are getting several calls from users complaining of slow and/ or crash IE. We found that by disabling the add-on "Symantec Vulnerability Protection" the problem ends.
    Is there any suggestion for soucionar the problem without disabling the add-on?

    My environment is Windows XP and W7. I have SEP 12.1.x clients.

     

    My SEP manager is 12.1.2015.2015.

    You will likely need to call support so they can look at. This has come up on the forum in the past related to 12.1

    Thanks a lot for your help, but I think this issue concerns the CITRIX environment, dont it?

    In our case the problem presents in desktop/notebooks IE brownsers.

    What IE version are you using? Do you observe similar behaviour in Firefox or Chrome?

    We found the problem on Windows XP and Windows7 running IE7 and IE8.

    The workaround for now is to disable the add-on.

     

    I'll check the links sent and try to take advantage.
    Soon update you the information.

    Does it crash when you use normal websites or your custom web applications?

    Can you check using the IE profiler like who is taking the time?

    Do you use Telerik controls?

    I opened a call with Symantec. The workaround is to disable the add-on or disable IPS policy that the add-on is also automatically disabled.
    For now I'm waiting for a Symantec solution to the problem.
