If there is no .dos file provided for Network Boot Package

Created: 09 Jul 2013 | 2 comments

Hello

If the manufacturer has not provided the .dos file for a NDIS "Network Boot Package", is the Ghost software not able to image multiple machines at once throught the network?

The Universal Packet Drivers arent working.

The is causing a big problem and I simply need to image my machines.

Any help or experience with this would be greatly appreciated.

If the DOS-NDIS drivers are not available, use WINPE (if you are running on the latest version).Let us know the network card model/compuer model and the Ghost version.

I would strongly recommend using WinPE rather than DOS with modern hardware. These two links should be of help as long as you have Ghost Solution Suite 11.5.1.2266:

Remember that you are going to need to add drivers for both the NIC and the SATA chipsets.

Also, if you are multicasting, make sure IGMP snooping is enabled on your network switches, otherwise a multicast session will typically fail after 2-4 minutes.

If your issue has been solved, please use the "Mark as Solution" link on the most relevant thread.
