  • 1.  IIS Issue affecting Task/Package Server

    Hi,

We needed to move our packages to a different drive as the one it was using was running out of space. Long story short is someone did not do a clean install using AeXagentutil.exe /uninstallagents /clean. Somehow I was able to, but IIS appears to be a mess with nothing showing up under DefaultAppPool and under Default Web Site. As far as the Package Server Agent I can manually install that, but it appears non-functional. How should I approach this? Do I want to uninstall/reinstall IIS? Just not sure what I need to do to put the pieces back together. Within NS there is no option under Site Servers to have it handle the install of Task/Package Server. Suggestions appreciated.

I had one like this.  I uninstalled Web Services role from the server, removed the server from the Site Servers list, let it sit a day, reinstalled the Web components, reconfigured the necessary IIS settings, sent a basic inventory, and the readded the server as a Site Server and configured Task and Package.

As with most things a little bit of waiting seemed to iron out the wrinkles.

    Hi,

Thanks for the insight. I deleted the server right off the NS. Which document did you follow on re-configuring the necessary IIS settings?

I always refer back to this:

(although the title of the thread is misleading the content in this comment is golden).

I have Windows Server 2003 and IIS6, but same principles in article should apply I would assume?

You need to make sure all the IIS configs are removed as well as IIS. Look in c:\inetpub and C:\windows\system32\inetsrv I think.
