  • 1.  Ilasm.exe fails with Network Threat Protection enabled

    After a recent update of SEP virus definitions (6th Sep 2010) we found that Ilasm.exe fails with an access violation and displays the message "The application failed to initialise correctly (0xc0000005)".    We had to uninstall Network Threat Protection to get this working again.  Any ideas why NTP causes this problem?

    Running SEP version 11.0.5002.333 with Ilasm from .Net v2.0.50727.

    The fix is  included in SEP 11 RU6a and above. RU6 MP1  is now available. Unless there is compelling reason to apply only RU5 PP1, all customers are urged to obtain and apply RU6a (or the latest available release of SEP).
