    Hi

We want to capture thin client image and deploy on the same using Deployment Solution 6.9.

Can anyone provide detail info or steps to capture and deploy image successfully.

Install the Thin Client View so that you can concentrate on TC's.

Depending on the TC OS, you may have to disable its write filter before imaging or installing software.

The documentation that comes with DS should explain how to perform all relevant actions.

You should find the PDF files on the DS itself.

The following URL is a landing page to all of our supported products, giving you access to documentation, etc:-

    Hello,

Generally the TCP port 402 is used for the connection. Make sure that port is opened and listening for the connection to take place.

Do you have the firewall enabled on your Deployment server? As a test, try with the firewall disabled and see if you still got the error.

I have to check (tomorrow) for the list of ports that have to be opened on the firewall...

Have a look at your program options, tab 'global'. In there you have a option 'Client/server file transfer port'. This is used by copy tasks and such. I have seen exactly this error which was related to this setting.

    Check your firewall logfile...

By default this option is set to 0 which means use dynamic ports. Now, dynamic ports won't work very well with firewalls. So if you need the firewall enabled it is best to set this option to a fixed port, e.g. 49189 and allow this incoming port in your firewall.
