I have created a Deploy Image job for Windows 7 32 bit

    1.       Deploy Image task On Windows 7 machine is working fine.

    2.       When I try to deploy image on bare metal machine then it boots from CD into automation and gets NS server information but fails after some time with value = 6 Error = 183 (I confirmed that firm.exe is copied in Task Handler folder)

    3.       Image Task failed on windows XP SP3 with same value = 6 Error=183

kindly can anyone tell what to do next.

    Regards

    Hi vicky72,

Did you sysprep the Windows 7 32bit image? Did you select deploy anywhere option in the deploy task? If you want to deploy an image to a computer with different hardware specification, you have to sysprep the image and make it hardware independent.

DS 7.1 or 7.5?  I'm assuming not 6.9 because the task isn't the same name.

    Hi Thomas,

I identify that when create image job runs its try to create a folder and image on site server but due to the insufficient rights it is unable to create image file on package server. I make a wayaroud like I stop the all altiris services on Site Servers and when client get the information of new site server which is Notification server itself then Create Image job runs smothly and successfull. Can you discribe what rights should be with altiris service account on Site server and clients computers to tackle the rights issue.

    regards
