Hello We have installed deployment solution 6.9. We are trying to upgrade All windows xp embedded POS ready 2009 system to windows 7 professional. We have captured one standard windows 7 image and trying to deploy image on system on which windiws xp embedded POS Ready 2009 operating system installed. Here image gets deploying on the system but it stuck for NIC drivers. We have check the necessary drivers are present in drivers DB but still it stuck on the NIC card drivers installation. Need suggestions for the same or how I upload drivers properly into Driver DB.

There can be one more suggestion with regards to this is to deploy the image on th POS XP Machine , then install the network drivers (NIC) and then take another image of this machine and proceed to deploy on similar machines.

    Hope this helps.

PS: Mark as solution if it works.

    Hi MKOKA

Thanks for prompt reply we have capture the image same as you suggested but we can not capture different different models image. Hence we trying to use Feature Deployanywhere image of Deployment solution.

I am looking for either scripting OS installation. Do you have any idea how to deploy image using scripting OS installation.

Secodly If you have any script in which i can mention drivers database path so that after finish OS deployment script will run and system picks up drivers from driver database patch which we mention in script

There are a number of forum discussions around about issues with DeployAnywhere and we have never been using it to also be more flexible. A quite long time ago, i have posted an article, which might give you some more options to achieve what you want to.

    https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/articles/migration-windows-xp-32-bit-windows-7-64-bit

    https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/articles/windows-imaging-hii-and-no-sysprep-alternative

I'm also sure there are quite a few other ones out who have even better solutions at hand now, but this one did work just fine for us. You will notice that this also helps us prevent issues with USB 3.0 controllers and other devices before they even occur.

Hopefully this helps you a bit further/

Is this still an issue for you CBZ9104?

If so, can you take a driver profile of the machine you are trying to image and capture the network card piece for me?

    http://www.symantec.com/connect/downloads/windows-driver-profiler-script

With that we can at least isolate the exact NIC driver that's required and make sure you are importing the right one into DeployAnywhere.

    Kind Regards,
    Ian./
