  • 1.  Image Sessions being Dropped - DS 7.1

When imaging multiple computers the ghost session is being dropped. 2 out of 5 successful.

This is using DS7.1sp2 via unicast on a GB Network

This is occuring when systems are being booted via PXE and Automation Folder.

Any thoughts on what could be causing this?

    Hello,

In unicast imaging, for 5 clients, 5 connections will be opened to access the image. You can check if limiting the imaging speed works in your case.  Or you can try multicast option as it will open only one connection to image by master & other clients will get image from multicast channel.

    Thanks,
    Sachin

Failed Ghost sessions should tell you exactly what happened.  If ghost starts and finishes clean, the file doesn't exist, but if not, the file is created as a sort of "crash dump" and is very easy to read and understand.
