Deployment Solution

Recently I have been having an issue with loading images onto our pc's. This isn't consistant but, it does happen quite often. From what I can tell, the pc will communicate to the Altiris Server but, when it requests an IP address from the server, it will display "Press any key to continue" after it tries to Initialize TCP/IP via DHCP. After I press any key I get: Establishing network connection...... Authenticating connection..... Error 7361: IPX or NET BIOS must be running in order to load the network services Could not authenticate network connection Unable to start network properly....Reboot in 5 seconds If I reboot, sometimes the pc will pick up the image. Could this be a problem with something on our network? I know that our network admin recently added new Extreme switches to our network. Maybe he needs to configure something on the switches? I will aprreciate any input that you can offer. Thanks

The behaviour you are describing is the driver not detecting the NIC correctly. You could try changing the UNDI driver, or use a driver that fits with the inserted Network Interface Card Regards Erik www.DinamiQs.com

This issue actually cropped up again. We decided to use a LINUX boot image instead of our current DOS image and it seemes to have fixed the issue. Maybe we have a corrupt DOS boot disk?
