Is IMManager compatible with a Virtualized SQL server?

We're running IMManager 8.4.1311, configured with a SQL server for Chat Logging.  Our server team is looking to virtualize some of their Windows servers, including the SQL box hosting our database.  My question is, does IMM have any problems communicating with SQL which has been configured on a VMWare box?

As long as the virtual server

As long as the virtual server does not have resource problems, there is no reason why this should not work. I maintain an installation where both IM Manager and SQL Server are installed to seperate VMs running on a single machine. I have not seen any problems at all. Symantec supports this configuration.

Symantec KB concerning IM Manager and VMWare

If there are issues with SQL Server running under VMWare or other forms of virtualization, I have not heard about it.
