Please answer these questions:

Are you bored?
Or battling to understand?

Why are you repeating the same questions over and over? (Some using same user name, some using your other user names.)

We have been through this discussion this morning:
https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/netbackup-media-server-deduplication

Have you gone through ALL of the links in that thread?

ALL of your questions are answered there. I promise.

And please, pretty please, nobody else respond on this thread until Marianne gets HER answers.  This poster has a history of ignoring polite requests whenever somebody even throws a crumb.

Please attempt your own answers based on what you have read so far.

2. Copy & paste the following in Google:
site:symantec.com Symantec NetBackup™ 7—Customer FAQ
The pdf contains the answer.

3. Who is the manufacturer?

4. Answer in pdf found in question 2.

I have read that customer FAQ.

Q. How is deduplication in Netbackup 7 different than in PureDisk 6.6?
A. The NetBackup 7 deduplication technology uses the same engine as PureDisk. The biggest difference is that with NetBackup
7, there is no separate install; dedupe is built into NetBackup 7. NetBackup PureDisk continues as a viable option for
customers who have unique requirements or large installments (petabytes of data).

NBU deduplication is MSDP?Correct?
In MSDP we use pure disk as storage or we can use advanced disk?
