Hello Team,

A bit of advise please, we currently have one EV Server running Exchange Mailbox Archiving for two mailserver hosting approx 2500 mailboxes, the SQL databases exist on a shared SQL 2005 server which hosts a fair number of databases.

We are currently looking to delpoy File System Archiving and Discovery Accelorator. We would put FSA on it's own server, the question is twofold - would you put Discovery Accelerator on the same box as Enterprise Vault mailbox Archiving or would you give it it's own server and secondly, with the increased database level would you locate this on it's own server or should it cope where it is at the moment.

Many thanks

Pat

Hi Pat, Personnaly I would

Hi Pat,

Personnaly I would place it on a dedicated server, and the DB on a dedicated SQL server if I had the opportunity and the budget.  However there is no reason if your EV server/SQL server is quite beefy, that they should not be placed on these servers.  Ultimatley it would come down to how much it is used and for what and how many end users. Its all down to resources.
