Import backup form prev versions

Hi if i want to do a fresh installation of Backup Exec 2012, can i import previosly backup (made with Be2010) from a tape library or nas ? how?

If your Question is about the backup done on tape or NAS by previous version of Backup Exec and if you are looking for answer if BE2012 would be able to read those tape or data on NAS and restore then yes it would be just inventory the tape and perform catalog on tape and you would be able to restore tape in case of NAS configure new disk storage pointing to NAS location and perform inventory and catalog so that you can restore data from it too.

...doing a Catalog of the media is the only way to get it into the fresh BEDB. Otherwise, the second option is to perform an upgrade and this will automatically pull your information through from the previous version. It would then simply be a case of inventorying the data if need-be.

Your B2D would also pull through during an upgrade.
