This issue has been solved. See solution.

I have very large PSTs to import and the imports do not work. I get size limits problems/errors. Th PST range from 100 GB to 140GB. I am using the PTS Migration wizard and I am unable to open the prdtd with Outlook in the server even after scanning and repairing the pst. In outlook I get some statement about the file being too big and to delete some of the contents. Is the a way to import these very large psts into EV? I was able to import a couple via exchange but I rather use EV. Maybe via a script? anything at all? Thanks in advance...

We are on EV 9.01

There are various PST file splitter tools available ....

You could try using EVPM to import the PST file ....

You could import them into Exchange, which say works, and then archive them from Exchange....

Many Thanks,

Rob

honestly, if you cant open the PST in outlook then you probably need to break it up into smaller files. i'd recommend no larger than 20GB realistically.

Above 20GB, I dont think you can actually open it in Outlook anyway - and that's with 2010/13

It is all nicely documented in the Utilities Guide on the EV media, however, for an example have a look here:

[Directory]
directorycomputername = ev1a.ev.local
sitename = myev

[PSTDefaults]
MailboxFolder =
PSTLanguage = Western European
MigrationMode = Process
IncludeDeletedItems = false
SetPstHidden = false
SetPstReadOnly = false
CompactPst = false
DeletePst = true
CancelMbxAutoArchive = true
ConcurrentMigrations = 3

[PST]
Filename = \\w2k3srv\C$\temp\test data file A.pst
ArchiveName = PSTA
ShortcutMode = NoShortcuts
RetentionCategory = Default Retention Category
MergePSTFolders = false

Many Thanks,

Rob
