    Hi,

I am trying to import new computer assets into Altiris 7.

I have created a new csv file import rule and created the data source.

The data source includes 'Asset name, Serial number, MAC address and Asset start and end dates.

When the rule is run the asset is successfully created but the only detail imported is the Asset name.

Can someone please point me in the right direction to get all the data imported as a partial import is like no import.

    Thanks in advance

    Hi

Did you do the column mapping for serial number, Serial number, MAC address and Asset start and end dates , under "select dataclassees".

To updates the allready import items, check "update existing resources"

    Hope that helps you.

    Hi

Yes i had done all the column mappings and the update box was checked.

The main problem is the asset status. When we import we need the items to be automatically 'In stock' else it really affects our KPI's.

    Thanks

The Asset Status is a Resource Association to the CI = Asset's Status.

Set the "lookup key" to "value" and choose "In Stock" in key column mapping.

Now you allways add In Stock as status for imported Asset in this import rule.
