Is this impossible?

This issue has been solved. See solution.

Hi Folks,

My manager has asked me to see if I can provide a report which lists

Every *.jar file located on all desktop PCs

The location that jar file is found (i.e. the path to it)

The primary user of the PC on which it was found

I expect this report to be massive.. if it can be done at all.. has anyone ever tried this before?

Is it a possibility of the NS system, or am I trying to use the system out side of its design.

Any suggestions, or assistance would be welcomed.

Cheers,

Mick it certainly is possible. By default, Inventory scanning only looks for .exe file types. However start here: https://kb.altiris.com/article.asp?article=43930&p=1
