  • 1.  Impossible to clear server from sep firewall

After upgrading installation package (AV and AS only) on server, firewall left enabled. Then tried to Add/Remove SEP from that server, delete from SEPM and to install fresh. After installing it shows red status on SEP, showing that outlook protection is disabled (which is disabled in packet, so it must be green not red), and firewall enabled in SEPM (which after reinstalling should be 'Not installed'). Then tried to use Symantec Utility Cleanwipe, restart computer and install again. The same problem and after installing and restarting computer the HP network team loose all ip adresses, so i have to connect through iLO interface, brake and recreate team, then i have connection back. Then uninstall SEP client, restart, and everything with the networking ok. So SEP is braking network after restart and somehow when i install fresh SEP, i got the same old with firewall enabled and red status.

Is the any package assigned to the group in which this client belongs SEPm- Clients-Group name-Install Package

    If yes then remove it.
Create a new package from Admin-Install Package -Client Install Feature Set-Add.-Select the features you want to add. Then either export this package or install from Find Unmanaged Computer using this client install feature set rather than the defauls one provided in the drop down list.

    Liveupdate issue

Is your SEPM server have a proxy while connecting to the internet if so, try to connect the server to the internet without a proxy.

    Firewall Issue

when using cleanwipe the LAN connection will be affected I dont know why, the solution is to uninstall the driver of the Lan then install it again with regard to the firewall issue try to disabled temporarily the firewall feature from SEPM then install the SEP client, I guess the client immidiately get the update from SEPM

right click local area connection and click on properites
in the general tab scroll down the list and check if you see anything called
    teefer2 driver
    if so uninstall it
    reboot the box
    install your package of SEP
