This issue has been solved. See solution.

Hi there, I'm new to IM Manager. We're in the process of building 8.4.5 in a test environment before putting it to production.  In the test environment, when we try to log in to AIM, MSN or etc, the CPU usage of the IMRelay service will go 100%.  The IM Manager Admin webpage will fail - page not found. In addition, the log in to MSN, AIM or etc just freeze.

The most common scenario for this is that you have circular DNS.

This is where the IM Manager server is attempting to connect to AIM, MSN or Yahoo but when it looks up those hostnames, it resolves to it's own IP address instead.  In that case you can get the symptom that you described.

Double check your DNS and the Implmentation Guide if you aren't sure about how to set up DNS for IM Manager.  Essentially you need 2 DNS servers.

1. For end users that has edits that point users to IM Manager for all IM traffic

2. A seperate DNS server that IM Manager can use that doesn't have any changes for IM traffic

That was it. I was stupid enough to create a DNS loop. It's working properly now. Thanks
