Incident Automation Rules - fill in contact from original incident
When my purchasing group closes a request, it generates and links a child incident to the purchase request. The child incident is routed to the appropriate group who takes the incident through it deployment, installation, etc.
How can I have that child incident carry the same requester name or the parent incident?

The IRC chat help on Juice was the supplier of this solution - bgreen to be specific.
To add information from the parent incident, format the syntax in this way:
In the automation rule you are editting, select the Invoke these URLs section and edit the automated action that will be performed.
In the pull down list, slect advanced assignment.
In "set", type workitem_contact_id and in the "to" WORKITEM(workitem_contact_id). The type will be text.
