Dear All, I need the best way to include Symantec DLP Agent in Windows 7 image such that every machine installed with the image (OS) should have the agent and it should report to specific endpoint servers.. Can anybody share a guide/steps to be followed for this task..?

You can install the agent on the image..

The agent is associated to the Name of the machine. So if the agent is part of the image it will AUTOMATICALLY register itself with the Endpoiint Server that was speficied during the installaiton of the agent to the image.

If you need to change the server the agent it is associated to, you can do that in the DLP console if needed. You can also do this manually, but it requires many steps.

Also keep in mind that there are some issues if you do install this on the image.

Overall, it will be with keys. Which is not too bad, but can cause comfusion when using the same hostnames.

As a general rule of thumb, you should deploy software instead of integrating it in the corporate build.
