Index Locations

Hi!
If I check the properties for Indexing service and the Index Location tab the status is closed and open for all locations...Location 1 appears as both open and closed at the same time..anyone seen this before?
If I want to Add a new location is there anything I should think of before I do that? Do I need to stop any services? We have 5 locations today and after I had read the best practice for indexing I want to add a couple of locations.

I am not toally sure what you mean here but you can have multiple index locations open.
It does not work the same as Vault Store partitions where you can only have one partition open at any one time.
Yep pretty simple stuff just add in the new indexing location and restart the Indexing service.
