Individual restored email is missing [Exchange 2010/Backup Exec 3600 R2 Appliance]
We recently installed a Symantec Backup Exec 3600 R2 appliance (comes with Backup Exec 2012).
I took a backup of our Exchange 2010 mailbox stores. The job ran successfully.
I am now testing restore of an individual email message. I can browse and select email messages in the Restore individual email window on Backup Exec 2012.
Althought the restore email message job runs successfully, the restored email is nowhere to be found in the test user mailbox. All I can see is a Symantec message that gets added to the test inbox saying the a restore job was executed.
I installed the Exchange management tools on the Symantec 3600 Appliance and I made sure that the Service Pack and Update Rollup of the tools matches to ones on the Exchange servers (We have a separate Exchange Hub server).
The backup exec agent is installed on both Exchange servers.
The Backup Exec service account is domain admin and Organization management admin in Exchange. The Backup Exec service account also has a mailbox in Exchange and the mailbox is not hidden in the Global Address List.
Did anybody else experience the same issue?
