I cannot convey the depth of my joy at finally being able to remove the last trace of Symantec from our corporate network!

OK - there's still quite a bit of time left on the license but not even than can darken my mood.

It seems like suddenly everything is working ten times faster.

    Pointless post.

If you have issues, place a call to Symantec so they can assist.

I tried. They told me to buy a dedicated server just for them.

Depends on how many clients you need to manage but that's normally the case.

Four - but 'that's normally the case' is not acceptable. I now have a very acceptable solution that has no such requirement.

Plus - I don't need to reboot the server twice a week to reduce the processor usage of SEP! Yes - that is what I meant. One of the symantec tasks has processor usage that increases asymptotically over time. Only rebooting the server can reduce the processor usage. I'm a bit sad that I upgraded the machine - memory and disk - on the advice of Symantec as that expense now seems completely pointless.

Than no further assistance is needed as far as I see it.

Best of luck with your new solution.

    Hi Robin,

There is no point of dicussion on this Post now, as it has been out of the Track Discussion. But still i am writing.

Its absolutely your decission which solution you select for your Organization, all we can suggest you that every problem has got a Solution and to get a Solution we need Consultancy, workarounds, Discussion, etc. We cannot say this or that. There may be some misunderstanding.

Anyways hope you understand, Thanking you for choosing Symantec.

Personally, I think SEP is overkill for only 4 clients anyway, but as long as you're happy...

Did you have a case number that can be reviewed?
