Hi Team,

Just need this info.

1.What is the maximum number of clients which netbackup policy support(means is there any restiction in number of clients per policy)?

2. What is the maximum number of plocy which netbackup supports?

As far as i know, there are no limitations for number of clients and number of policies.
Only thing I can think of is limitations based on that of OS and filesystems. NetBackup has one directory for each policy under db/class.

You shoyld consult best practice and "backup planning and performance tuning guide" before you mind about hard limit case from OS and filesystem.

+1 to Yasuhisa san

There is no need for high numbers of policy/clients. I have 2500 client in less than 20 policies. But you need to define policy name and standards. Using more than 8-10 policy's per data type and you loose track of what/when with rocket speed.

Assumption is the mother of all mess ups.
