Inherited a SEP install with no admin info, how do I get access to the install?

Hi all,

I was asked to take over the management of a client site and it has a SEP v.11 install and configured. The tech that left didn't leave any info behind and I am now looking to gain access to this setup.

How can I retrieve the admin access info for the server?

I apologize for not scanning through the articles and posts but as time is of the essence and people are a tad bit heated over the issue I just need a quick resolution/fix.

Please advise.

Thank you,

TITSSN

Go to C:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\Tools and locate the reset_pass.pdf and resetpass.bat files.

Here you will find your answers.

Hope that helps!

the reset_pass.pdf says that the resetpass.bat file resets the SEPM password to "the default password"

What is the default password??

Just found it by taking a closer look at the batch file. Thanks.
