The initial replication when you add an additional site seems to be huge since I've upgraded to RU5. the data.zip file is about 1.5GB's most of that being the Binary Data folder.
I usually configure my replication partners not to replicate Packages, however you don't get this option when first setting up your Additional site.
Is there anyway to exclude packages from being replicated during this first sync?

    Regards,
    Andrew

The first replication for a new SEPM will be the size of the existing database and I am not aware of any method to avoid this.

    Greetings,

Agreed, the initial replication will copy over the original database. There currently is no supported way of modifying this.

Issue I have is even over a 8MB link, it times out now that it is so big. Replicating the Binary packages are not needed - there is no way to do an offline replication?

Thanks for your replies, I will check my tables to make sure there are no entries left over that are flagged with deleted.

Alternatively is there a command I can do to purge all logs?

    Hi,

I have just set to have just one content revision in the site that the data is replicated from before adding a new replication partner. That will reduce the data in the initial replication very much. After the replication the content revisions can be set higher again.

Thanks mate, that really helped speed things up, got my data.zip replication down to 500MB.
