  • 1.  Install failed, rolled back.

    Hi,

    Few Clients notified from upgrading 12.1.6 MP4 (12.1.6867.6400) to MP5 (12.1.7004.6500) ''Install failed, rolled back''

    Uninstalled the previous and tried to push the same upgrade pack - but failed.

    Finally used Cleanwipe tool, then it took properly. 

    Instead of using cleanwipe what could be the fault?

    Can you post the install.log from one of the failed SEP clients? Should give some idea in there of why it failed and rolled back.

    please share the sis_inst.log from the clients we the install failed so that we can norrow it down to the exact issue.

    Most important are the SEP_INST.log and SIS_INST.log files:

    Required logs for troubleshooting failed Endpoint Protection 12.1 client installations

    Since you did get it to install properly these logs may no longer be available.

    Please keep this link handy next time an install fails.
