  • 1.  Install fails 1603 and 1708

    Trying to install endpoint on server 2003 r2.  

    The steps I have taken 

    1. rereg msiexec

    2. run cleanwipe

    3. install .net framework 2.0

    4. install c++ lirary

    5. rebotted machine

    The installation consistantly fails, no idea why.

    AMS was not uninstalled correctly from the machine. You need to uninstall that before the client will install. Look for it in add/remove programs and uninstall it. if it's not there use this document:

    Manually uninstalling AMS server for Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition 10.1 or Symantec Client Security 3.1 from Windows
