  • 1.  Install issue on a Vista 64bit machine.

    I am having problems re-installing SEP 11.0.6 on a Vista 64bit computer.  The previous version was 11.0.5 and was removed because the install of 11.0.6 would install would not upgrade.  Now that the the entire package has been uninstalled I am unable to install the 11.0.6 version.  I have tried a number of times and it appears that the install all but finishes, then rolls back the install. I have tried a number of things to get arround this (ex. diasble UAC, etc), but nothing seems to work.    I could use a bit of direction to help resovle this issue.

    At the end of the SEP_INST.LOG file it states installation success or error status: 1603.  I have attached a copy of the log file.

    Delete 
    C:\ProgramData\Symantec
    C:\Program Fiiles(x86)\Symantec
    INstall Liveupdate (Lusetup.exe ) first then install SEP.

    Your Log says 

    LUCHECK.EXE returned 206

    Installed the lusetup.es from the site you posted and it returned a successfull install.  Restarted the computer and LU is in the programs list.  Ran the install of SEP and received the same issue.  The install rolled back near the end of the install.

    Attached a new copy of the SEP_inst.log file
