Ok so i did get ITMS 7.1Beta installed. now i rebuilt my server so i can document the install....

it wont install.. I posted this up and someone said they think the beta qa site is down... they cant get the files either..

anyway.. i did get it installed at home at the time i did my first one... so i do have all the install files.. all the .msi's and all... but when i try and create a local install from SIM.. it still tries going to the web and fails.... also with all the files on the local server... seems to still try and go to the web to verify the files and fails...

Asset management did install... however i cant install either client solution or server solution...

    i get

    file not found altiris_ppaagentsolution_7_1_kb3309_x64.msi

anyone know how to point it to not install from the web nor look to verify??? i would like to get this installed again..

    thanks

    Jeff

If the site's down, you're not going to be able to create an install package in SIM.  Creating an install package is like creating an 'offline package,' and you'll need to be online in order to create one.  If the QA site is down, as jharings suggested earlier, this won't work for you yet.

March 7 isn't that far away for the production release..

    March 7th........... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

    sorry had to do that..

well i wanted to be able to tinker and document..

we will be in a new datacenter about that time so our free time will be very limited..

and i want to start off with 7.1 at that site for all new servers... guess ill just have to tinker on my home install to screw around with...

oh well.. was hoping there was a reg key that could be set to disable online validation so i could just install locally.
