    Hi,

Yesterday I downloaded the latest version of SEP 12.1.3 (Win32Bit, Win64bit and the SEPM)

I created what I believed to be a Win32Bit Package, however the package creation took several hours and turns out to be 1.4GB in size. Now surely this is wrong as the Win64Bit versioin is roughly 200MB.

My issue now is that I want to remove this package from SEPM and start again but can not as SEPM tells me the latest version can not be removed.

Can this new package be removed?

    Thanks

What components did you select for 32 bit?

    AV/ As?
or did you included all the components?

when you exported did you select full protection for client?

    Hello,

I believe you downloaded the below files:

    Symantec_Endpoint_Protection_12.1.3_Win32-bit_Client_EN.exe  =  Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1 RU3 Client (Win32-bit) Unmanaged.

    Symantec_Endpoint_Protection_12.1.3_Win64-bit_Client_EN.exe   =  Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1 RU3 Client (Win64-bit) Unmanaged.

    Symantec_Endpoint_Protection_12.1.3_SEPM_EN.exe =  Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager 12.1 RU3

In your case, you need to Migrate the SEPM to the Latest version of SEPM RU3 by unzipping the Symantec_Endpoint_Protection_12.1.3_SEPM_EN.exe

Upon Migration, you can download the Latest version of SEP 12.1 RU3 managed client package from the SEPM.

    Check these Articles:

Understanding the Downloads of Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) 12.1 available on Symantec FileConnect website.

Latest Symantec Endpoint Protection Released - SEP 12.1.RU3

Best practices for upgrading to Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1.3

    Hope that helps!!

    Hi,

Thank you for posting in Symantec community.

I would be glad to answer your question.

Can you repair the SEPM install? Try to repair with original setup files of SEP 12.1 RU3.

Once repaired it successfully try to export the package again & let us know the result.

You can't remove the latest packages & it's by design.

Hi and many thanks for posting your comments.

Unfortunately I did not download this 32Bit version, my colleague did so I'm not sure what he selected.

Even though my new installation package is 1.4GB in size it appears to work perfectly.

I suppose I'll need to wait for the next release in order to remove v.12.1.3 from my SEPM console!
