Install Packages Filling up C:\Windows\Temp Directory

This issue has been solved. See solution.

We are encountering an issue where Install Packages are filling up C:\Windows\Temp.  Can these just be deleted?  I am assuming they were install packages that were made but may have encountered an issue when being downloaded.  We have about 30 limited admins who make install packages from the server.  Just want to make sure we can recoup the space as some of these have been there for 5 months or more.

Thanks

You should be able to delete it once it has been installed. Assuming it is just the install package and nothing else.

Please click the "Mark as solution" link at bottom left on the post that best answers your question. This will benefit admins looking for a solution to the same problem.

Should be safe do delete - if you create install packages on SEPM it does adds it to database and these are stored locally in SEPM\inetpub\packages folder.

If you are exporting packages - save directory is of you choosing. Temp will store only files during the package is being created.

Sorry Brian, should have clarified that it is on on of our SEPMs.  We get the Setup_SomeNumber.zip files that the install packages before being downloaded.  It is like some of them just got left behind.

Thanks!
