Install SEP 12.1.2 for Mac via Altiris

This issue has been solved. See solution.

I am currently setting up a policy to install SEP 12.1.2 on Mac clients via Altiris. Before when I set up a policy to install SEP 12.1.1 on Mac clients I used the command line pkg-rollout -f (see attachment sep12.1.2script.png). Now when I try to use that same command line for the SEP 12.1.2 client package it does not work. I know that the installer package has changed in the new version and that there is no longer a .mpkg file but a .pkg file. Is there a command line that will work in Altiris to install SEP 12.1.2?

Hi Bspore,

Here is a similar Connect Forum thread about deploying SEp for Mac 12.1 RU2 with Apple Remote Desktop.  The installer has chanced in this latest build, but deployment, etc should still be straightforward enough.

Please do update this thraed with your progress!

With thanks and best regards,

I did see that post. I was just wondering if anybody knew how to change the command line in Altiris to install the package via Altiris.

According to this older Connect article, installing a .pkg should work--it's just a flat installer instead of a metapackage installer; the required "Additional Resources" should already be present in the .zip file), but I am not at all familiar with remote deployment using Altiris, so I can't really advise on why it's not working:

You may want to ask in the Altiris forum, too:
