  • 1.  Install SEP for low configuration computers

    Hi all,

    iam going to install SEP for low configuration computers ( only has 512MB RAM). 

    Can i disable some features ? 

    any one has ideas for that case?

    What exact sep version are you trying to install ?

    You don't need to remove feature

    Physical RAM

    • 512 MB of RAM (1 GB recommended), or higher if required by the operating system

    No need to remove any features. 512 mb should be fine.

    I install SEP version 12.1.3001.165

    Install SEP can make computer speed slowler than normaly ?

    More the features more will be the CPU usage ... Install only antivirus and anti spyware only.. Put these in new group and apply low performance policy .. U can see the defaults one under policies tab

    yes SEP will slow system,Symantec 1 GB recommended for sep installation.

    No issue will be occur if you can nstall on same configuration.

    You may seem some performance issues running that low of memory. Ideally you want at least 1GB of RAM. You're best starting with AV only to test it out but that isn't much protection...
