  • 1.  install SEPM console for remote administration?

    It is possible to install just the administration console on a pc running windows 7 to manage a SEPM install on a windows 2008 R2 server?

    I tried to run the installer of SEPM but it didn't let me to do anything

    NO, as of now the management server cannot be installed on Win7.

    However you  have the remote webconsole installed

     

    Running additional Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager consoles

    Point your web browser to http://[sepm hostname]:9090 and select Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager - Download and Login

    Is this what you tried? I have it running on a Win7 box.

    SEPM does not install on WINDOWS 7,

    If u want use administrator console from remote system ,u can use like http://localhosp:9090 or ip adrress(SEPM server):9090

     

    U can run webconsole from any system .

    You can also use the protection center. Also in protection console you can manage some other Symantec products as well.

    for protection center https://SEPMIP:8443
