I'm trying to install Symantec Installation Manager, any version, on Windows Server 2008 x32

Wonder if its possible? Because option for "installing new products" from SIM is not available when installing on x32 OS. Only option "Create new package" is available

It looks like SIM is not supported on x32 servers.

I install sim 7.0 on Server 2003 x32, and i got the same error

Then install update SIM 7.0 to SIM 7.1 and got the same error as well

I wonder if there's any way to install SIM on x32 and make it work. Because i'm trying to make a demo for on an enviroment which requires all my vms to be on x32.

Yes it's support only 64 bit OS.

Do you have try to install 64 bit OS ?

Symantec Installation Manager (SIM) will work on many Operating Systems, including 32 bit ones. However, SIM will only let you install the Symantec Management Platform 7.1 on (SMP) Windows Server 2008 R2, which is 64 bit. On all other operating systems SIM will only let you download the software and create an installation package.

You could maybe install SMP 7.0, which SIM will only let you install on 32 bit version s of Windows Server 2003.

For SMP 7.1 you will need Windows Server 2008 R2 (64 bit) Standard or Enterprise Editions.

Installing SMP 7.0 on Windows Server 2003 only let me download package, not installing them

However, i have a older version of SMP running on a x32. I think this is a demo of a Symantec course

I guess i have to install it on a x64. 

That's SIM you have installed, not SMP.

Is your Windows 2003 Server SP2?
