  • 1.  Install Symantec Client on SEPM server?

    whether Symantec Client must be installed SEPM? and please give me a reason why Symantec client must be installed on SEPM server, because some friends suggested this, with reasons SEPM can not do the scanning yourself ...

    You still need the client to protect the server where your SEPM resides. SEPM server is only the management part to do the admin stuff, it doesn't protect the system/server/pc by itself.

    As name states Symantec Endpoint Protection manger. It is just a management console which is there just for the ease of administartotrs Provide Centralized Adminstartion and Monitoring. It is only a used for configuration

    IT DOES NOT PROVIDE ANY VIRUS PROTECTION. FOR THAT YOU NEED SEP CLIENT
