Installation of HelpDesk/Notification Server fails

I downloaded a trial copy of HelpDesk Solution. Currently we have Deployment Solution, but have never installed Notification Server. I tried to install the HelpDesk Solution on the same computer as Deployment Solution but as it begins the installation I get the error about Configuration of Altiris Notification Server failed.



I planned to phone support and have them talk me through the process but for the life of me I cannot seem to find a phone number of a person to call.

Hi Jane,

Did you download the install helper, or does your install have SQL local? You really are better off just downloading the Altiris_NS_6_0.exe from http://solutionsam.com/solutions/6_0/ and running the NS install manually. Once it's done, you can install helpdesk through the solution center.
