This installation package is not supported by this processor type.
So we had a symantec engineer come by and showed me how to set SEPM up. I am fairly sure the SEPM is setup correctly as he did most of the work. Today I am trying to use Altiris to deploy SEP to a few test boxes and am having no luck. After some testing I ran the setup.exe on the client PC by hand. This setup.exe was created from within the SEPM by right clicking the client and telling it to export (selecting the correct container I want to put them in and the correct features I want installed).
When done by hand I am able to see the above error message. Figuring I had accidently clicked the wrong client in SEPM I recreated the package, and I created one for the 64bit client as well. I now know for a fact that each client package was created from the correct client entry wihtin SEPM. If I run either of these two clients (32 or 64 bit) the client fails with the above error.

There is an issue with RU6 while exporting using the web console. Currently there is a case open with Symantec support.
Try exporting with the Java client or directly from the SEPM.
