Why are there 2 Cds for installation of endpoint protection 11.0? Only 1 seemed to be required. Does it depend on the OS which one you use?
No
Cd1 is enough..CD2 has some tools, liveupdate Administrator,Quarantine Server.,3rd party AV remover, SAV for Linux...and few more tools.

In case if
In case if you are using LINUX then u need CD2 as it would contain SAV for Linux
