I have a site that has 3 branch offices. HQ communicates with the branches via SDSL and the connection speeds are reasonable. I don't really want the link between sites compromised by chatter between the SEP clients and the SYmantec Protection Centre at HQ. Is there some way to have a download/policy proxy server running at the branches?

If the SPC is not available
There is no GUP in SEP 12 SBE.
Best,

Cycletech: How does that
Cycletech: How does that affect licensing? I thought the clients relied on SPC for licensing. If they can't see it, do they not show a warning?
Am I right in thinking that the clients will always get the updates from SPC unless the SPC is unavailable, in which case it would go to the Internet. If the SPC is unavailable, do the clients still hold their policy settings?
SBE wasn't really designed
SBE wasn't really designed for multiple offices. More so single site offices with less than 100 employees.
There is an online portal, save yourself the long hold times. Create ticket online, then call in with ticket # in hand :-) http://mysupport.symantec.com "We backup data to restore, we don't backup data just to back it up."
Policies are stored in
Policies are stored in client registry also a license copy.So even if your client is detached from SPC it will still hold its policies.
