The _Symantec_netboot_Server service won't start.

The error is 'Windows could not start the _Symantec_netboot_Server service on ServerName.  Error 2: The system cannot find the file specified."

I only have one main server, no separate site servers.

I tried rebooting the server, not sure what else to try.  I have a ticket in with support.  Anyone here have suggestions? The other PXE services start ok, but obviously we can't image.

Quick Look Solution

Hello Sally   One thing to

Hello Sally

One thing to check.

Right click on the service and see if the "Path to executable" is correct and if the file realy excist.

Also you can check what is the filesize and Ver.

On my test machine it is following: Size = 1,47MB,  Verion = 6.9.9373.51

You can also try to repair DS installation usin SIM.

Best Regards
