Hi,

I am trying to install backup exec 2012 small business ed on windows 2003 sbs sp2 but when i get to the install screen it continually writes to the backup exec log and i left it for 1.5 hours but it did not finish. All the prerequisites passed but i am installing using RDP but connect to console.

Hi,

If you have an AV installed, disable it and try again.

If you are connecting to the console you should have no hassles...as long as you're using an admin account, and have designated an account with domain admin rights.

Thanks!

If you find this is a solution, please mark it as such.

do you mean copy the install files from the dvd to the hardrive and run it from there?

...he means if you are installing across a network (although sharing a DVD/ISO on 1 server is possible, and does work, it's preferable to do everything locally...).

Thanks!

Did you download the full ISO or the 4 individual files?

Either way, maybe try redownloading the ISO and try the installation again!
