This issue has been solved. See solution.

Is it advisable to install both Backup Exec 2012 and Enterprise Vault 9.03 on the same server ?

My existing BE2012 is residing on a very old server.

Planning to migrate to a new server but due to budget constraints, I am force to plan whether I can install the software on the EV server.

The specs of the EV server are as follows

Windows 2003 Enterprise

Quad-Core AMD Opteron(tm) Processor 2378 2.4Ghz

16GB Memory

11TB HDD.

All depends on the size of your BE estate, and your EV estate.

I am personally totally, nearly-always-without-fail, in favour of segregating responsibilities, and having different production servers for different tasks.

It just helps in the long run.

Many Thanks,

Rob
