How long does it take to install PGP Desktop Professional on a XP SP2 PC? When encrypting the hard disk, can the user use the PC at the same time? How long does encryption of the hard disk take? Thanks.

It can take a few hours for the disk encryption, depending on multiple factors including disk size, your CPU, disk speed, whether you are using the computer, whether power loss protection is used, and whether processor priority is set to the encryption.  Installation of PGP should take several minutes, and then a reboot if my memory is correct. 

Clarifying one point from Tom: Yes, you can continue to use the computer while it's encrypting. It will throttle back (encrypt slower) to minimize interference while the computer is in use.
