INSTALLING REMOTE AGENT FROM THE SERVER ON A WXP SP2 PC

I HAVE A SERVER RUNNING W2000 AND A WORKSTATION RUNNING WXP W/SP2. I HAVE TRIED TO INSTALL REMOTE AGENT FROM THE SERVER INTO THE PC AND I GET THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE:
"ERROR CREATING OBJECT ON \\(NAME OF PC)
CoBESetup(298)(-2147024891)

PLEASE ADVICE ASAP.. THANK YOU.

What version and build of BEWS?

Have you tried a local install of the agent on the XP machine?
